Hey folks, our move to Caroline Springs is almost complete! With our last post back in February, we've been very busy moving, photographing lots and lots of families and last (but definitely not least!) weddings all over Melbourne.

During all this we've taken down our website as we create a new one with loads of specials and details of hosting your own jelly bean parties - catering for the western suburbs, we're now locals.

When I was asked by the beautiful Beck & Adam to photograph their upcoming wedding, I was pretty excited (for a couple of reasons!) Beck is a professional photographer with a studio in Camberwell http://www.misskittyphotography.com.au/ and Adam is an old friend from many moons ago ~ we used to play war dollies together!

I absolutely love photographing weddings, but until recently Jelly Bean Photography only photographed children and family portraits (including children’s special occasions – like christening & the like.) I have a separate boutique wedding business with a totally different style and direction.

The exciting part which I mentioned above is that Beck & Adam loved the style we create as Jelly Bean without even knowing that we shoot weddings too!

I have to say, when approached by a professional photographer to capture their special life moments; it truly makes me happy and proud of my art.

Hey all ~ welcome to an exciting 2010!

We're gearing up for a very fun (and busy time a head!) This year has already been busy with loads of photograph and canvas deliveries (also some very excitingly wedding and engagement bookings - as jelly bean photography). We have been updating our calendars so you know when our team is available to come to you.

We where very excited to deliver this beautiful image to some happy parents (even gave them a hand hanging this on in just the right place!) It makes us very proud to be creating such beautiful pieces for families to enjoy.

it's almost that time of year again!

With only 24 sleeps to go, are you getting excited? Here in the jelly bean camp, there has been much going on. Our latest Jelly Bean photo party was another massive success and you can guess what the theme was for our little models... We had some elves & pixies and some more modern styles. Today being the first day of Summer, we have lots of outdoor family shoots coming. With beautiful parks and down by the beach some of the favorites locations.

(if you love this style of portraits, having the kids in plain tee's and denim is always a winner and looks awesome!)

(Costumes are great fun for special occasions - just like Christmas!)

A little personal work crept in this time around, my beautiful wife (and most trusted assistant!) headed down to Williamstown to enjoy some of the fantastic weather -

Keep an eye on this space, Jelly Bean has begun shooting childrens' christenings also we've got our first two wedding bookings for next year (we typically don't photography weddings but where asked because the couples really, really loved our style - how could we say no?)

When editing my latest batch of little super models in the making photos, a budget concious mum asked me if i can pop two or three photos on one really large canvas bloc for her. No problem! so I've been playing with different ideas and present you my first two attempts ~ with many more to come!

this one prints out to 12x30in!

I spoke to my framer and he said that he could easily build any frame size I could dream of. During the next few months as our new home and studio are being constructed you'll see loads of new ideas and products from the creative minds that make up jelly bean and when it's all done, we'll have an awesome place where you can come and see them hanging on our walls & get your photos taken!

let the sunshine come in

I can almost think of nothing better than spending time with great friends and taking really cute photos of kids! We had a stella day of sunshine and photos, with some awesome designer outfit changes!

well I've been pottering away today before heading out into the sunshine to take some photos.

I was asked by the owner of bareSKIN, body bar in Caroline Springs if I had any jelly bean photography business card to leave in her studio ~ so I thought I'd hope to it & make some! Here are my first cuts, let me know your thoughts?

If all goes well over the next few weeks we'll be creating some special cross promotions for both jelly bean clients and bareSKIN clients!

what a difference a few days away can make! we headed up to Sydney harbor for a few days to enjoy the sites and shopping. After a few days of play we spent some time with the friends to take some photos of their little one.

I have to say, I think we've met the happiest baby in Australia!

when the protective wrap comes off

There is almost no better feeling than presenting a parent with a beautiful, hand crafted print of their child (that they absolutely love!!) We had little Eli's parents, Nicole & Peter pop around the other day for a coffee. I pulled them aside and brought out a massive 30x40" package. When the protective wrap came off, they were just in awe! We had our first photo bloc delivered and the finish was awesome. We selected a beautiful pearl finish paper and coated with a protective satin lacquer - so it looks the same as the day it was hung.

Guys I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did creating it!

Firstly a big thank you to my family and friends who came along on Saturday! We even has some folks just pop along to see all the new stuff (a massive thanks to Marc for working so hard!)

Today my assistant (and beautiful wife Yelena) spent the afternoon with little Eli and his mum. Eli is just over one month old and was such a pleasure to photograph. We captured some beautiful moments and had some laughs
